PAMPA Project: Regenerative Wheat Traceability & Compliance
Mondelez partnered with regional producers to create transparent, verified supply chains for regeneratively-grown wheat, enabling compliance with sustainability standards while maintaining producer profitability.
The Challenge
Mondelez needed to source wheat from verified regenerative producers while ensuring compliance with EU regulations (EUDR). Regional producers lacked transparent documentation of their sustainable practices, making it difficult to verify claims and meet buyer requirements. The supply chain was fragmented with no unified way to track sustainability data from farm to mill to consumer.
The Solution
ucrop.it implemented an end-to-end digital traceability platform that captures regenerative agriculture practices at the field level using satellite imagery validation. The solution integrates producer-recorded data (soil health metrics, crop rotation, pesticide usage) with third-party verification (satellite monitoring) to create auditable records. Each producer gets a digital profile showing their regenerative practices, carbon sequestration potential, and compliance status with EUDR requirements.
Results & Impact
✓ 100+ producers onboarded with verified regenerative practices ✓ Compliance documentation automated (reduced audit time by 80%) ✓ Sustainability premium enabled: 15% price increase for verified regenerative wheat ✓ Carbon footprint tracking: average 2.5 tons CO₂ offset per hectare ✓ Supply chain transparency: complete traceability from 127,000 hectares
Client Testimonial
